(1) Faculty of Life and Environmental Science: Environmental Pollution and Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Research Exercise, Introductory Seminars, Paper Reading, Thesis Work.
(2) Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology: Advanced Environmental Measurement and Master’s thesis.

8. Compensation:
(1) Based on the “Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Shimane University Academic Staff Subject to Annual Salary System”.
(2) Discretionary labor system for special work type based on the “Regulations Pertaining to Working Hours, Holidays and Leave for National University Corporation Shimane University Staff”.
(3) Successful candidate will join National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations, Employment insurance, and Workers’ Accident Compensation Insurance.

9. Qualifications:  
(1) Applicants should have a doctoral degree or prospective doctoral degree.
(2) Applicants should have research and teaching abilities in environmental dynamics.
(3) Applicants should have aspiration for contributing to organization management and regional activities.

(3) Research achievement list divided into (a) peer-reviewed papers, (b) non-peer-reviewed papers, (c) book or chapters, (d) oral presentation in international conference, (e) patents, (f) academic awards, (g) research grants awarded as a principal investigator and (h) others. 
(4) Offprints or copies of all peer-reviewed journal papers.
(5) List of awarded grants with brief description of the applicant’s role.
(6) Summary of the applicant’s research achievement and a research plan at the Institute of Environmental Systems Science (two pages in A4).
(7) A statement of applicant’s aspirations on education in A4 single page. Non-Japanese native language applicants should mention to expedients to teach Japanese students.

14. Selection procedure:
(1) First screening: Application documents evaluation.
(2) Second screening: An interview including the applicant’s presentation.
The details of the interview will be informed to the applicants who passed the first screening. We do not support any expenses for travel and accommodation of the applicant to participate the interview.
