Shimane University is pushing forward with research in various academic fields, accumulating high-level results as the center of excellence in San-in Area. We place a strong priority on promoting characteristic research on regional challenges, and creative research of world-level quality.

Shimane University has interdisciplinary research groups called “Project Center” with the aim of promoting unique research and educational activities.
