Campus Entry Restriction Due to Bomb Threat Notice Targeting Shimane University
A post was found on the Internet stating that the main buildings of Shimane University will be bombed at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10, and passengers and people around the bus stops close to campus will be attacked with knives.
Currently, Shimane University is mobilizing to strengthen the patrol on campus in cooperation with the police. In order to prioritize the safety of our students and pupils, faculty and staff members and our neighbor community, the university will impose campus entry restrictions from noon on Thursday, July 9 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10.
■Matsue and Izumo campus (excluding Shimane University Hospital)
・Faculty and Staff : From 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 10
・Students and non-Shimane University members : From noon on Thursday, July 9 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10
■Attached kindergarten and compulsory education school
・Teachers and staff : From 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 10
・Young students, children and kindergarteners : Closed throughout the day of Friday, June 10
Shimane University Hospital will open as usual, providing regular medical care for both inpatient and outpatient services while taking adequate safety measures. However, outpatients will be asked to evacuate at the time of the notice.
Shimane University will continue to remain on alert and take necessary measures in cooperation with the police.
