Important Notice on AY2020 First Semester Classes and Health Monitoring (Matsue Campus Students)

Matsue campus students including those newly enrolled 

AY2020 First Semester classes begin on Tuesday, April 14. Classes during the period from April 7 to 13 are all cancelled. Please confirm the following notices. Also, please closely monitor your health condition from the begining of April for 2 weeks until lasses start. 

  • AY2020 Academic Calendar 
    Note the changes in the date classes start and course registration.

    ・AY2020 First Semester classes begin on Tuesday, April 14. Classes during the period from April 7 to 13 are all cancelled.

    ・Class registration starts on Monday, April 13 and ends on Tuesday, April 21.
    The above is the current response, and may change depending on future changes in the situation.

  • Request to closely monitor your health condition before AY2020 classes start

・During the period from April 1 to 13, please refrain from going out for unessential reasons. Commuting to/from university as well as essential shopping are exceptions. Those who live outside Matsue, stay at home whenever possible except for the dates of orientation sessions or health check-ups.
・Monitor your health condition during the above two weeks.
・AY2020 First Semester classes begin on Tuesday, April 14. Classes during the period from April 7 to 13 are all cancelled.
・Class registration starts on Monday, April 13 and ends on Tuesday, April 21.

・Keep a close eye on your health while recording your health condition with the app “健康日記”(Japanese only) orSelf-HealthChecklist [DOCX:20.8KB]
・If you have fever and/or respiratory symptoms by April 13, immediately contact the Health Service Center (health(at)soc.shimane-u.ac.jp) by email, attaching your health record of either “健康日記”app or Self-Health Checklist. Include your name and student ID number (or Faculty and Department you are entering to) in your email title.

・Those who do not have any symptoms do not have to submit the app record or Checklist.
・If you have fever and/or respiratory symptoms, you should refrain from attending classes. Please see the following link for more details.

  • Health check-up dates for AY2020 
    Health check-ups for international students are scheduled as follows.
    ・New undergraduate and graduate international students・・・Dates will be announced in the orientation sessions. Also, please refer to the schedule below. 
    ・Non-degree seeking, undergraduate and graudate international students 2nd year or above ・・・Please refer to the schedule below.

           Those who are newly enrolled undergraduate students and those who are transferred in undergraduate third year are not required to complete the online medical interview sheet.
