On-campus COVID-19 Omicron-targeting Vaccine Booster Shots

To prevent the onset and worsening of COVID-19, reduce the burden on local governments related to vaccination, and accelerate the country's inoculation program, Shimane University will conduct additional on-campus omicron-targeting vaccinations for its members who wish to be vaccinated.

1. Date and Time

   1-1. 10:30 - 13:00, 14:00 - 16:00 on Thursday, December 15, 2022

   1-2. 10:30 - 13:00, 14:00 - 16:00 on Friday, December 16, 2022
   1-3. 10:30 - 13:00 on Saturday, December 17, 2022

 

2. Venue

 Shimane University Matsue Campus (1060 Nishikawatsu-cho, Matsue, Shimane 6908504)

  Reception: 2nd floor of University Union

  Vaccination Site: Gymnasium II

 

3. Target

Those who meet all of the following requirements.

(1) Students, board members, faculty, and staff members who belong to Matsue Campus as of the date of vaccination or those who work on Matsue Campus on a daily basis as of the vaccination date
(2) Those who have been vaccinated with two doses
(3) Those who have passed 5 months or more since the last vaccination
(4) Those who have a vaccination ticket issued by the local government for either the third vaccination, the fourth vaccination, or the omicron-targeting vaccination.

* Vaccination tickets mentioned above (4) will be issued by the local government where you live approximately five months after the date of the last vaccination. The ticket is necessary to receive the third dose. If you do not receive the ticket after the said period,  contact your local government as soon as possible. 
* For those who have been infected with COVID-19, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan has decided that the interval between the infection and the additional vaccination should be approximately three months. Those who have been infected within the past three months as of the date of vaccination should refrain from getting vaccinated. 

 

4. Vaccine

  Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (a bivalent vaccine that corresponds to omicron strains (BA.1)
 

5. Reservation     Reservation is accepted by online application.
     Reservation period: From 9:00 on Wednesday, November 1 to 17:00 on Friday, November 11

*Vaccines are ordered based on the number of reservations. Thus, make reservations after checking your schedule and refrain as much as possible from cancellations after making reservations. If you need to cancel your reservation due to unavoidable circumstances, contact the Shimane University COVID-19 Countermeasures Headquarters Office by e-mail. See 7. *If you wish to receive the vaccination after the reservation period has passed, you will be placed on a waiting list. Email the Shimane University COVID-19 Countermeasures Headquarters Office by noon on Tuesday, December 13 with your student/staff ID number, name, and preferred date (requests for time are not accepted), while understanding that you can get vaccinated only when a certain number of people who have made reservations cancel.
